When thinking about religious affiliation, we often think about what the religion entails. Moreover, sometimes we don’t think about the custom and their norms practice of the religion, or the fact that each religion celebrates their masses differently. In addition, when we think of religion, we often want to categorize a group of people to a certain religious belief. In reality we can have a within group variance, where people who might be part of a certain ethnicity may have different religious beliefs. For example, not all Latino people are Catholic, some may be protestant or other types of religion . Moreover, when I toured the Mosque I was surprised to see a few Hispanic people being part of the Muslim belief. While touring the Mosque I Muslim woman has to dress in a way where they have to cover their head, arms and legs as a sign of respecting their religious beliefs. Living in the society that we live today the clothing factor will be a great change for me as clothing can be one of the things that defines you. They feel that if they are too happy they will bring their hopes up in that particular occasion and when things go south they will not be able to recover easily. While if they are extremely sad that will somehow go against their religious beliefs about doing anything as possible that prevent them from harming themselves. By feeling sad Muslims, feel that it could later lead to bad things since sadness can sometimes make people do crazy things. In addition, I feel that Muslims believe that feeling any type of emotion can make a person do things that they will later regret and therefore, disrespect their religious beliefs. According to the textbook, Cross Cultural Psychology Critical Thinking and Contemporary Applications, 2013, by Eric B Shiraev and David A. Levy, “most major world religions, for example, Islam , Judaism, Buddhism, and Christianity, introduced the rules by which human beings could become independent of
