Today’s world is full of suffering and pain. Some suffering comes in the form of incurable illnesses. Physician assisted suicide is a procedure that can patients dealing with terminal illness yet has been a topic of much debate throughout the past few decades. Considering these results, it is very clear that those in tremendous pain should have their needs addressed. It is devastating enough for a person to be diagnosed with an incurable disease but being denied their right to end their life can be even more devastating. These patients find that the painful and humiliating period before death is overwhelming; therefore they want to end their life before they are non-functional or in a vegetative state.
