This paper will explain what happens in act 3, scene 4. A quick summary of what happens is that after Banquo is murdered, his ghost comes back to haunt Macbeth. Banquo’s ghost can only be seen by Macbeth. In this scene, a banquet is being held by Macbeth and lady Macbeth. Ross, Lennox, lords, and their attendants are also at the banquet. When everyone enters, Macbeth says that everyone knows where to sit. The reason everyone knows where to sit is because, everyone is seated according to their ranks in the military. The banquet goes on as planned until one of Banquo’s murderers enters the room. When Macbeth notices the murderer, he shows his guests where he will set, and he tells the murderer that he has blood on his face. The murderer says that the blood must be from Banquo, when he cut his throat. Macbeth compliments the murderer on his throat cutting abilities.
