PhD Topic: Topic is based on Women Entrepreneurship and Development. Hence, the study would focus on the development of a model revealing factors that inhibit the growth of women entrepreneurship and key indicators for dynamics of women development PhD Title: Women Entrepreneurship and Development: A Model for Enhanced prospects of Women development in developing countries Introduction The research study I would undertake in my PhD would set out to develop a model for Women Entrepreneurship and Development via investigation of factors inhibiting growth of women entrepreneur ’s and key indicators for dynamics of women development. The Entrepreneurship elements such as motivation & commitment, abilities & skills, Resources, Strategy & vision, Planning & Organisation, the integration of views in context with market conditions; and their nature and degree of relationships with indicators of women development as measured by certain factors would be hypothesised in the context of developing countries in Asia like India & Nepal comprising thousands of women entrepreneurs and top executives in both Private and Public sector. The theoretical/conceptual framework constructed on the basis of the hypothesised relationships would then be examined quantitatively to determine its validity and usefulness in the context of women entrepreneur’s in India & Nepal. Research rationale The study would contribute theoretically to the existing body of knowledge by virtue of a model that would be developed mostly via statistical examination of the nature and degree of relationships between the factors inhibiting growth of entrepreneurship and key indicators for dynamics of women development. Practical contribution of the study lies wit… … middle of paper … …lopment and obstacles inhibiting growth. • Sampling Strategy: The sample would be derived using the systematic sampling strategy based on the sampling fraction computed by dividing the sample size with the size of the population. • Data collection: Data would be collected using the survey questionnaires that would be mostly self-administered, that is, completed by the respondents. However, respondents would be given an email address in case they need to clarify issues pertaining to certain questions or part of a question. Instruments of the questionnaire would be tested for validity using the appropriate quantitative techniques including Cronbach’s Alpha. • Data Analysis: Data would be analysed using SPSS or Stat Pac on the basis of quantitative methods including correlations, regression analysis, cross tabs and discriminant analysis.
