I have always regarded myself with having the best work ethic of anyone I knew. When at high school, I thought as myself as the best all-around student, and person. Being highly regarded by both faculty and students was a great confidence boost when I began my college application process, but I soon realized how it was hard to but all of my accomplishments, into a very short essay . I was not, and still am not the best academically in my class, but to me, it doesn’t matter if my GPA isn’t a 4.0 or if I didn’t graduate valedictorian of my class. I know is I possess skills that make me the best candidate for anything I want to pursue. Back when I was young in the middle school years, I realized how technology kept becoming a more and more I have been dedicated to the art ever since I was 12 years old. Buying a $50 camera and working my way up to professional equipment came with lots of practice, and patience. In high school, I took photographs of all school events and provided them to the yearbook, and district. My consistent dedication and willingness to photograph events for the school is something I hold pride in, because I know I put all my effort into every single picture. However, I made lots of mistakes along the way which I quickly learned from, which can me in the future. The organization of photos is imperative to a photographer’s workflow; I didn’t realize this at first. I would take pictures and copy them to my computer, just putting them all in one folder until I had about 2,000 images in one place which left my work inert until I rectified my organization. Learning from this mistake, I figured out a way to keep my pictures organized which is important for my future at WPI and beyond. Documenting events including my IQP and MQP is important to me because it can teach another generation. However, documenting my life with photographs is of paramount importance. Showing my kids and family photographs from decades ago is something my parents did, and I want to make sure the next generation has the same opportunity I did. I am excited about future opportunities that come my way, I know I will be healthy, and documenting my life. Maintaining
